International Stamp Contest

Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. calls to the first "International Stamp Contest"

The purpose of the contest is to help open the exhibition spaces and disclosure of all the trends of traditional and digital printing. The works will be exhibited at the Orfeó facilities during the month of March 2012 and the first three places will benefit from exposure during the month of October 2012. The event will be annual.

1. The date of reception of the works and registration form will be from this call until December 10, 2011.
2. Participation works of all stripes and printing techniques on paper or rigid support.
3. Those interested should fill out a participation record.
4. Each artist can participate with a minimum three and maximum five works in a paper format of 27.9 cm. x 21.6 cm (8.5 x 11 inches). The image mustn’t exceed 22.9 x 16.6 cm. (6.5 x 9 inches).
5. The work will be accompanied by an envelope with the artist's name, alias if available and a brief résumé one-page maximum.
6. The participation fee for each entry is $ 175 pesos to be used for editing the list of participants. Income is made to the escrow account on behalf of the Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C., BBVA Bamcomer Cta. 01818685724  clabe 012 180 00181685724 4 Codigo Swift: BCMRMXMMPYM
7. The deposit slip must be included in the envelope containing the registration form.
8. The works will be presented without a frame or glass and can be delivered by courier or in person.
9. The works will be received at the facilities of Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. in the street of Marsella No. 45 Colonia Juárez. C.P. 06600. México D.F.. Accompanied by the registration form.
10. The jury of arts professionals, through the Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C., will communicate to the participants the acceptance of his works to be exhibited and published in the catalog.
11. The exhibition of the works on the premises of Orfeó Català Mèxic A.C: will be from the 1 to 23 March 2012. Will be open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 to 17:00 hrs.
12. The jury will award three prizes, which consist of the invitation to participate in an exhibition at the Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. in October 2012. The result will be announced the day of the inauguration of the exhibition in March 2012.
13. The participating works will be returned along with the catalog of the works exhibited at the Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. facilities or by mail from the participant. The date for return of the worksand the catalog  will be 2 to 31 May 2012, after which the Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. will not be responsible for the works.
14. The Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. treat the works with great care, however is not responsible for loss or damage that may occur.
15. Participation implies acceptance of the rules of the call.
16. The Orfeó Català de Mèxic A.C. reserves the right to reproduce the works submitted for dissemination.
